Smith's has always been LaCrosse's family bike shop. We take pride in the generations of family members we have served. That's why we feel promoting family time is of utmost importance. This summer we are adding a family bike ride to our bike ride family!! We are planning some great casual Sunday afternoon rides that will take us on the areas wonderful bike trails. These rides are sure to be a valuable and rewarding way to spend the day with your family and a great way to meet other families from the area.

Our first family ride will meet at the Great River State Trail - Medary trailhead parking lot on CTH B. The ride will begin @ 1pm and go until about 5pm. This ride will take us to Veteran's Memorial Park in West Salem and will be about 10 miles round trip. What a great way to spend a summer afternoon with other area families. Our family bike rides will take us on our great area bike trails to fun destinations for lunch, leisure, and great bike riding. Families participating must provide their own bikes. Trail passes are required for cyclists 16 years and over on all state trails. These can be purchased at Smith's and other area businesses before the day of the ride or at the trail the day of the ride~annual pass=$15, day pass=$4. Please bring your own beverages and snacks/lunch. Please check website day of ride for any cancellations and updates.

Meet @ Great River State Trail ~ Elroy Trialhead @ 1pm. This ride will take us along the beautiful Sparta~Elroy Trail. This ride is 9 miles round trip. There is an old railroad tunnel to walk through with bikes at our turn around point. Going through the tunnel is optional ~ please prepare to get a few drops of water on you during our trek through the tunnel and it does get dark ~ flashlights are a must! Very cool and refreshing halfway through the bike ride. Please refer to the June 22 ride for further family bike ride details.

Meet at Great River State Trail ~ Medary trailhead parking lot on CTH B. We are heading back to Veteran's Memorial Park in West Salem on our final family ride of the season!
